A pumpkin from South Africa that I hunted and searched for, then finally tripped over in a farmer's garden and practically jumped for joy! It is a pumpkin-shaped, 6-12 pounder that is very dense, almost hard-shelled with green skin. Yes, green not orange; green and seems to stay green for months. There is some yellow tinting at times, but I'm selecting for the pure green . . . very exciting! I believe it was used as the projectile that broke the world record in "punkin chunkin" contests in Delaware.
